Bad Blogger!

My goodness, it's been a long time since I've blogged!  whew!  Lots of things have happened since I last posted...

First...we moved!  Yep, that's right, we moved back to our hometown.  Not much of a move, as we were only about 45 miles away before, but my hubby is a general contractor, building houses, and most days he was driving back here to work.  So, beings I don't work outside our home, it was worth it to move.  We're saving over $400 each month just in housepayments alone!!  Much less all the gas we're now saving!  So, we bought an OLD house (70+ years old) and we did a lot of work to it.  We painted every room in the house, made new curtains for every room, totally gutted and redid the kitchen and both bathrooms, and put in new carpet in two bedrooms.  This summer we'll be working on the landscaping (because as of right now, there is none), putting on rain gutters, and working on the lawn.  We have this huge, gigantic tree in our front yard, and the grass doesn't want to grow very well there, because it doesn't get much sun.  So, I'd like to see if we can find some grass that does well in shade.

Let's see, what else?  Well, I finally got my own scrapbook room/scrapbook studio for the store.  I pretty much took over the entire basement in our new house.  It's a HUGE room, like 25' x 17' and it has my store stuff all in one place, and also my own scrapbook area where I create.  I'd show you pictures, but right now, I'm totally embarassed about how it looks!  LOL  I've been working on some projects for a wedding show that is coming up in a couple of months, and it is just a total mess!  I got to paint this room finally, and I have been holding on to this one piece of SEI paper for the longest time, because I KNEW that if I ever could paint a scrapbook room, it was gonna be SEI purple!  I just LOVE it!  The room is kinda weird because technically it's unfinished.  But, the floor has been painted with that garage floor paint, has cement blocks on the bottom half of the walls, and the top half of the walls have been "finished" with buffalo board.  It doesn't look great, but it works.

So, anyway, just thought I'd post so y'all know I'm alive yet, and I promise to update this more often!  I've been crazy busy working on my store, gallery and forum so that will have a grand re-opening, and I bought another site so I'll actually be splitting some of that up.  The shopping, gallery, and forum will be on my new site www.thescrapbookingplayhouse.com and my old site www.awalkdownmemorylane.net will have custom albums, digi photo cards, and more custom scrapbooking type things.  I'm also working on getting pictures of my jewelry, gift items, etc to put on the site too.
