The Right Shoes

Rightshoesorange_2 ImeldaBella....ohmygosh, isn't she just too darned cute?  Another Stamping Bella stamp.  I colored her in using Prismacolor pencils and blended with mineral spirits and a paper stump.  She has a very tiny little crystal in her hair tie.

The background was stamped using a darker color ink on the orange background and I can't remember what patterned paper I used.  Sorry! If I find more of it I'll edit this post so you can find some.  :)  I made this card while I was camping a few weeks ago and I don't know where this paper went..I KNOW I have another piece lying around somewhere!  The sentiment is from the Little Lady stamp set from Paper Trey Ink.

I just got in some more product at the A Walk Down Memory Lane scrapbook store, and will finish uploading it tonight...I'll post a preview of the products tomorrow.  Some old, some new.  All cute stuff!  I went a little out of my way to find some BOY looking papers this time!  :)

OK that's all from me tonight.  Have a good one, and see ya on "hump day!"

Hi on Monday Morning

Hidoodlebug It's Monday Morning!!  Anybody else say that with a little downward spiral of their voice??  LOL  A Monday means the weekend is gone, a bunch of days until another weekend...but the possibilities of Mondays!  It means a fresh new week to finish up some projects I need to work on, it means laundry day, and bathroom cleaning day for me and my house.

I made up this cheery little card a few weeks ago, but saved it for a day that needed some cheering up.  What better than a Monday?

I made this card on plain pink background cardstock.  Pretty sure it was Bazzill but I can't remember the name of the color.  Anyway, I took a Stampin Up wheel with a darker pink ink and stamped the background.  The flower stamp is by Doodlebug and can be found in my store.  It's a clear stamp in the Wedding set.  I colored them in using a Dove Blender with the Doodlebug Ink Pads also found in my store.  The "hi" sentiment is Doodlebug letter stickers in Lily White, the striped paper is KI Memories, and I used a Mega (pink) scalloped oval punch.  The purple ribbon is from Michaels.

New Paper Trunk is in DA HOUSE!

BatikcollectionGigicollection

I just got finished unpacking and uploading all of these FABULOUS Paper Trunk papers, along with their matching border stamps, alphabet stamps, and acrylic blocks.  This paper is beautifully done and is printed with a texture, and it's double-sided, and OH did I mention it's so PRETTY!!  I'm not much of a heritage-y scrapper but I just LOVE the Batik papers!  And their border stamps are too cool!  There are 2 different sets and they're all LONG which works great for odd-shaped cards, or even 12x12 scrapbook pages.

I'm excited to start playing around with this paper to see what I can come up with!  I've also got some orders in with Basic Grey for their new lines and ribbons and buttons, and October Afternoon...my sister came home from CHA with their catalog.  YUMMY!  Will definitely be adding that collection to the shoppe soon.  Of course I also have loads of new stuff from some of my favorite vendors, KI Memories, SEI, Doodlebug, Fancy Pants, Making Memories and lots of others for their new CHA releases.  But remember, if you see something you like, order it now 'cuz when it's gone, it's GONE!

Spirelli Thanks a Million

Thanksamillionflower Oh you guys...I have to tell you about this card I made!  I have a Klic-N-Kut XL cutting machine to cut out diecuts, titles, shapes, etc.  It is similar to a Craft Robo, Wishblade and Silhouette machines, only it will cut 13" wide, has a WAY better software, and will cut thin CHIPBOARD!

Anyway, I bought a Spirelli shapes CD collection from Diana's Designs and I used it on this card.  The yellow flower is cut from shimmer paper from a stack I got by Colorbok.  The center of the flower is a circle with all little notches cut out of it.  Then I took a thread of metallic verigated embroidery floss and looped it around the notches.  Very quick and easy, but what stunning results huh?  The yellow flower and the middle part of the flower are both pieces from the Spirelli CD that I cut with my KNK.

The rest of the card...The background is from SU! one of last year's in color and stamped with a stamp from the So Swirly set from Lizzie Anne Designs using the same color ink as the background paper.  The striped paper is from KI Memories.  The Thanks a Million sentiment was also from Lizzie Anne Designs and is punched using a SU! punch.

All of the stamps and patterned paper used on this card is available in My Store.

Your Special Day Bella

Yourspecialdaybella Another Bella  :)  Told you I LOVED them!

This one was also stamped with the Palette Noir ink (which will be available in my store SOON!) and colored in with Prismacolor colored pencils.  I blended with a little bit of mineral spirits and a paper stump.  Her hair was actually colored in with watercolor pencils and blended with a wet paintbrush.

Background papers are from Sassafras Lass, which is available in my store.  I'm not sure what brand the cardstock is.  It just came from my scrap pile.

I'm going to try to get some sketches for you for next week.  Maybe this weekend I can show off some of my little pixel sigtags that I've been making, or even some desktops for you...we'll see what I have time for.

We're supposed to go to Sioux Falls tomorrow night to have dinner with a friend of my hubby's.  They had a bet 3 years ago to quit smoking/chewing.  My hubby has been smoke-FREE for 3 years July 3rd this year.  I'm so very proud of him!  I don't mention it to him often enough, but I am.  Anyway, his friend lost the bet, because he started chewing again about 6 months into the bet.  And we're finally getting together to "collect" on the steak dinner!  LOL

For those of you who don't know, I have an online scrapbook and stamp store and I'm starting to slowly get in some new stamps and beautiful paper from CHA releases.  I got in the entire line from Paper Trunk...both papers, acrylic stamps, acrylic alphabets, and a GREAT 2" x 12" acrylic block for those long titles or borders.  Check it out at A Walk Down Memory Lane.  You get free shipping with any purchase over $75 or I have flat shipping of $8.95 and believe me when I say I can pack a LOT of goodies in one flat rate Priority box for $8.95!

Thinking of you Bella

Thinkingofyoubella_3 Have you discovered the Bellas yet?  They are simply ADORABLE little frizzy haired girls that I have simply fallen in love with.  You can see them at the Stamping Bella site.  They are unmounted rubber and are just adorable.

This one I stamped with Palette Noir ink and colored in with Prismacolor pencils.  I blended with mineral spirits and a paper stump.  The papers behind her are Basic Grey LilyKate and KI Memories Pieces of You (all which can be found in my store.

I thought today would be a good day to show you my Thinking of You Bella card as she will soon be finding another home.  A friend from the church I grew up in, lost her father to cancer yesterday morning.  He was very very sick, and although he wasn't in pain I'm told, just needed to go home to see his Lord.  I'm sure for his family it is both heartbreaking and a relief as he was in the hospital for a while now, and they were in constant limbo.

So, Wendy L. you and your family are in my prayers today and in the next few weeks as you take on a new life without your Dad.  I cried for you yesterday when I heard you lost your Dad.  I hope you feel the love of your family and friends, but also the peace that only God can give.

You're Invited...

Invite1sample_2 I made this digi invitation for my mom.  We're going camping next month and they're doing a Western themed BBQ for the whole group one night and my mom is organizing it.

I used the Barnyard Dance kit from Kay Miller and PSP.  I'm planning on printing them out onto a nice cardstock and then printing the information on the inside.

I was going to use this really cute cowboy stamp set that I saw in The Angel Company catalog but she wanted it ready for the weekend so she could put it in their mailboxes at church on Sunday.  So, I'm thinking this will do the trick!
