One more sneak peek!

Bird_day

Happy Halloween everyone!  Hope your weather is nice for some trick-or-treating tonight!

This little card turned out soo cute!  I just love the little bird!

This is the last sneak peek you get before the kits go up for sale at A Walk Down Memory Lane.  The kits are limited so you won't want to wait too long or they'll all be sold out!

The little bird and sentiment stamps are new Hero Arts ClearDesign stamps.  I colored in the bird with my Copic sketch markers.  I used my Rectangle scallop punch for the mat.  Everything else is from the County Fair kit for November.  Patterned papers are from October Afternoon and Scenic route and the cardstock is by Bazzill.

The Best Day...

Thebestdayforweb_2 Another sneak peek of a November kit.  Everything is from the County Fair kit (I did add some Heidi Swapp rubons from my stash).

Only 2 more days until this one is available at the store!

Another Sneak Peak!

Alittlenote Another card using the CPS Sketch of the week.

This one also has some more papers and ribbon from a November kit that will be released on the 1st. Cardstock is from Bazzill, patterned papers are from October Afternoon and Scenic Route.  Ribbon is by May Arts.  The brown scalloped edge was made using a thin strip of Java cardstock, then I took the Stampin Up corner rounder and took off the guides.  I then punched a hole in the scallops to make a lacey look.

Other little extras are the felt flowers from American Crafts (an add-on available on the 1st), a Dew Drop for the center of the flower, and the sentiment is from the $1 Michael stamp set I picked up a while ago.

CPS Sketch 37 and a Sneak Peak!

Swirlycps37 A Walk Down Memory Lane is the proud sponsor for the Card Positioning Blog this week!  Each week, the gals at CPS design cards based on a given sketch.  This week happens to be the week that we are the sponsor.  Everyone on the Design Team received a package of goodies from the store, so they could design some cards.

I have done some cards using the sketch AND some of the NEW products for November's kit of the month!!  There are some papers and ribbon on this card from November's Kits.  The paper is from October Afternoon and the ribbon is from May Arts (both available in the November kits).  The stamp is a new one from Sassafras Lass and the rubon is also Sassafras Lass, both available at A Walk Down Memory Lane.  Each day, I will post another sneak peak of some of the products you'll find in this month's kits.  I promise you won't be disappointed!

Announcing...

Final_logo_color

Mblogo

I want to announce the purchase of The Scrapbook Site by A Walk Down Memory Lane.  The Scrapbook Site is an awesome community of scrapbookers and a monthly kit club.  I have always wanted to do a kit club, and Sarah had a great club going over at The Scrapbook Site.  Sarah has come upon some medical problems and has decided to step down from The Scrapbook Site.  A Walk Down Memory Lane will still be your scrapbook specialists for new and exciting product as well as a full-service store.  We will be adding monthly kits to our offerings over at A Walk Down Memory Lane just like what Sarah did at The Scrapbook Site.

The gallery and message board will stay over at The Scrapbook Site just as it is now.  The shopping portion will be absorbed by A Walk Down Memory Lane, and purchasing monthly kits and add-ons for kits will be available at A Walk Down Memory Lane.

November 1, 2007 will mark the beginning of the new venture and you will be able to purchase 2 beautifully coordinated kits starting November 1.  They are fabulous kits with one kit each month including an exclusive stamp set!  Quanities are limited so you will want to check back November 1 to get your kits and add-ons!

Back Again...

Usatdenvergame Here is my hubby and I before the Steelers and Broncos game Sunday night in Denver.  We had an awesome time in Denver and are excited to go back again sometime.  Even though our Steelers lost after a last second field goal, it was a great game to watch.  If you were watching the game, we were behind the goal posts for almost all of the scoring, and had family and friends tell us they saw us on TV!  LOL

We did a lot of tourist-y things including touring the Anheuser-Busch factory where they make all kinds of beer, stopping at a scrapbook shop in Ft. Collins (very cool store by the way), driving to Rocky Mountain National park where we got to see elk after their mating season was just ending, mule deer crossing the roads, all kids of birds, and our first snow of the year!  We also toured Focus on the Family and the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.  We found a couple of neighborhood restaurants that our friends took us to, and we ate very well!  LOL  Best crab cakes we've ever had were at this little family owned restaurant down the street from our friend's house.

I also made a stop at the Archiver's in Colorado Springs and found a few things I couldn't live without that I don't carry at my own store so I'm sure you'll see those things pop up from time to time.

I'll be back tomorrow with some news, and of course get back to posting some more inspiration for your scrapbooking, card making, and paper arts!

Leavin' on a jet plane...

don't know when I'll be back again...LOL.  Sorry just watched Armageddon the other night and that song stuck in my head.Steelers_smiley

We're leaving for Denver tomorrow morning to watch the  Steelers thump the Denver Broncos!  :)  We're coming back late Tuesday and are excited to visit some friends who live in the area.  We've never been to Denver so we're looking forward to seeing the beautiful Rocky Mountains, tour the Budweiser brewing place, and eat at Ruth's Chris steakhouse.  (actually DAN is looking to the steaks!  He's heard about it on talk radio for a while, and I'm pretty sure that will be the highlight of his weekend)  Hopefully I'll be able to do a little scrapbook shopping while Dan is golfing or touring some model homes.

So....the news you've been waiting for?

The entire store at A Walk Down Memory Lane will be marked 20% off for the entire weekend!  (except the diecut machines and their accessories, sorry).  I will start shipping out orders on Wednesday when we return.

Wish us good traveling weather, wish the Steelers luck, and hope that I can get some good pictures from the game!  Look for us in the end zone about 13 seats up on Sunday night.  It's on TV.  We'll be the goofy ones with the Steelers Jerseys on.  I've got a number 86 on mine for my man Hines!  A little football eye candy for you!  :)  I just love that smile!  Hines

Croptoberfest

Mblogo The Scrapbook Site is having an awesome event this weekend.  On Saturday, October 20 through Sunday, October 21, they will be hosting a myriad of games, contests, challenges, etc.

There is a lot going on over there that you won't want to miss!  So, head over to their message board, get signed up early because you're gonna want to see what they all have going on over there!

Also, because I will be gone for the weekend (we're heading to Denver to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers thump the Broncos LOL) there will be a sale at my store , A Walk Down Memory Lane, starting Friday.  Everything in the store will be on sale, so you won't want to miss all the goodies over there either!  We don't return until late Tuesday, so orders won't start shipping out until Wednesday.

Happy Bee-Day

Happybeedayboy I know the scan on this one isn't as nice as some of my others but I thought this little bee was just too cute to keep cooped up in my computer.  :)

The card itself is 3x6 and was fun to design something out of the ordinary again.

The patterned paper is Doodlebug Designs, I used my scalloped punch, and plain circle punch to punch out the little bee.  The bee stamp and sentiment is from Stampendous.  I colored him in using Tombowo markers and added a little sparkle using the Twinklette markers

A 3 picture sketch

3picturesb I am out of scanned cards, so today you get a sketch!  :)

This one is kinda fun with a few different patterned papers and a center grouping of 3 photos.  The yellow star could be replaced with a flower, or any other big embellishment.

If you use this sketch, please post a link to it in the comments section below.

ENJOY!
