Packing, Painting, Preparing...

The online store will remain open while we are moving to our new location, however, any orders placed after Sunday, September 21 will not be shipped until we have moved.  We will be busy prepping the store, etc. so we will not be able to get orders packed and shipped during the time when products are getting moved and re-arranged in the new store.

I'm so sorry for this inconvenience, but I promise it'll be worth it!  Along with the new store comes some GREAT new product that will be uploaded to the store as soon as we're all unpacked and situated.

I probably won't be blogging much either during the time when we're packing and unpacking, so feel free to check out our Design Team blog!  Or, you can always check out the message boards!!  We had a great crop on Saturday and the design team posted some GREAT new classes!  3 new classes on mini-albums and a fantastic Photography class too.  Hopefully that'll keep you busy until we're back!

October Sneak Peek #1

BacktoschoolkitsneakpeekNow that the kiddos are all back to school, I'm guessing you should have *plenty* of photos to scrap, and LOTS of time to scrap them in right?  LOL

Well, here's a kit to help you with those school days photos.  We've combined KI Memories School Days with GCD Studios Schooled and created a fun kit with 2 frosty pattern papers, double sided papers, rubons, rhinestones, diecut shapes, cardstock alpha stickers and sooo much more!

While there are 3 papers that are "school themed" the others are just a great mix of some basic colors.

Fabulous Friday Finds AND a Challenge!

CimpresssheerblossomslgbrightCheck out these BIG, BEAUTIFUL, BRIGHT flowers from Creative Impressions!  These flowers are about 2" in real life, and have a gorgeous shimmery/sheen to them.

I just adore adding flowers to any layout, card, or project.  It seems that flowers give it just the perfect finishing touch.  PLUS, think of all the ways you can finish off your flower!  It gives us the opportunity to use all those teeny, tiny brads, buttons, Dew Drops, eyelets, stickers, punches, etc that are sitting around in your scrapbook room.

We currently have 97 different varieties of FLOWERS you can add to your paper craft projects from a variety of manufacturers.  American Crafts, Bazzill, Bo Bunny, Cloud 9, Heidi Swapp, and Imaginisce are just a few of the varieties we carry.  You can find all different textures as well.  Some are paper, mulberry, silk, crocheted, velvet, felt, plastic, and chipboard.

So, my challenge to you this weekend is to use up that flower stash, and show me some cool ways to adhere your flowers, or some unique ways to finish your flower centers off.

Some ideas are:
Buttons
Brads
Stickers

Stickles
Bling Stickers
American Crafts Flair stickers

Show me what you can do!!

Where were YOU?

Wtcmemoriallights763454I'm sure most of you have heard the song by Alan Jackson that asks, "Where were you, when the world stopped turnin'.  That September day?"

Today marks the 7th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

My hubby and I were home that week, because Hannah was going to be coming home from the hospital after 89 days being in the NICU.  I remember turning on the news while getting ready for our day, and seeing the buildings burning.  For the rest of that week, we (along with most of America I think) sat in front of the TV just watching and waiting in total disbelief.

I'm not going to bore you with my political beliefs, etc. I'm just going to challenge you all to think about, what would happen if something happened to me today?  Would my family have something they could look at to remember me?  Would they have something that I wrote, or created, telling them how much I love them?  Would they have something to remember what I looked like, how my handwriting looked?

I really believe that leaving something behind for our families, is one of the most precious gifts we can give them.  So, take the time to write a little love letter to your family.  You can always stash it away, but, let 'em know you love them!  Give your kids and families an extra hug today!

OK..enough sappiness for one day huh?  :)  I've got  some FABULOUS Friday finds, and a challenge for you tomorrow on the blog!

Photo came from HERE after a search on Google Images.

Harvest of Memories Crop on September 20

14We've got some awesome classes planned for our August 20th online crop at the message board.  Here is a sneak peek of Kelly's accordian album mini album.  She used some really cute OctoSany2315ber Afternoon products on her album.  You can check out the supply list on the message board HERE.

Lucy's little brag book mini album at right is just adorable!  She chose to use the Dream Street Cafe Chic papers along with some other embellishments, ribbons, etc.  You can see the supply list on the message board HERE.

You'll see in depth instructions with full color photos explaining how they made their albums during the crop.  We've got a few other classes in the works, like a photography class by Jess, and another Mini album from Angie.

We also host a number of challenges, games and chatting over at the message board as well.  We've moved locations, so that everything is all located on the site at A Walk Down Memory Lane.  The message board, gallery, and store are all in one place!  Hope to see you there!

Movin' and Growin'

Movingsale Hello blog readers!!  I'm sure you are wondering where I've been the last week or so...I didn't leave ya, just had a few things to accomplish and blogging just got put on the back burner for a few days.

I'm so thrilled to announce that I will be moving all of my inventory, etc. from my basement into an actual little warehouse/office area where I'll actually be able to display all my goodies in a store setting!  I've been slowly growing my store for 5 1/2 years now, and this was always the goal, I just didn't think it would take me this long!  LOL

So, with that being said...last week we toured a few places to rent, took measurements, laid out floor plans to figure out where all of our product would go, figured out how many displays, etc we'd need, checked into a few things we need to do to remodel it, including carpet, some paint, etc.

Next week the carpet will get laid, the paper racks will be in, and we'll begin the long process of moving everything in to the new location.  With that being said.......

I'm having a moving sale, 'cuz you can't imagine how heavy almost 5,500 products are going to be!  LOL  How does 10% off the entire store (well, a few exceptions like the diecut machines and kit club memberships) and free shipping after $50 sound to you?

The sale starts today, and will run through Sunday, September 21.  I'm anticipating starting our move on Monday the 22nd, so any orders placed after that, won't be shipped until we're all unpacked in our new location.  I plan on being open in our new location on October 1, at least that's my goal.  :)

Message Board is BACK!

Whew...what a long couple of days I've had!!  The Message Board and Gallery have been moved over to our new home at A Walk Down Memory Lane from The Scrapbook Site.  I purchased this site almost a year ago, and I thought it was about time to move everything over to one site.  I'm hoping it'll be easier to remember which site is which once everything is in one place.

The Message Board is pretty much set up and ready for you to head back over and start posting.  I'm still fixing a few colors here and there as I see something weird.  I'm still working on links and such too so if you see something out of the ordinary, let me know!

I'm still working on the gallery though, for some reason or another some of the thumbnails of your layouts and projects didn't make it over to the new home, and I'm not sure why.  Our tech guy is still looking at it.  So, hang tight for a few days, before uploading to the gallery, so we can make sure everything's working properly.

THANKS so much for your patience!  I have a TON of orders that came in over the past few days, and I'm a bit behind on getting them all out.  I'm hoping to catch up on them on Monday.
