Jillibean Soup & Maya Road Egg Hunt Layout

EggHuntLisaHi everyone.  Hope you are having a great week so far!

I hope you're sitting down...'cuz this is an actual layout that I created!!  Can you believe it?!!?  This is one of 6 layouts that I actually finished at our NSD crop here at the store.  It has been months and months and months since I've actually completed a layout instead of a card, it felt good to get into the swing of things again.

OK, so here's the recipe of the items I used on this layout:

American Crafts cardstock

Maya Road Acrylic stamps Triangle Banner

American Crafts foam Thicker alphabet stickers

My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary Little Miss Muffet Isn't She Lovely Journal Card

Fiskars Scallop Sentiments Border Punch

Jillibean Soup Egg Drop Soup Ground Ginger

Memento Rich Cocoa ink

American Crafts Precision Journaling Pen

Jute (we have it by the yard at the store)

Foam Pop Dots

The Girl's Paperie Flower Bucket

TGPFlowerBucketChristy1OK, so there are a few items that when the DT brings them into the store, I get giddy...this is one of those items!

Isn't this just one of the most beautiful and happy little bucket o' flowers you've ever seen??

Christy made this absolutely beautiful little bucket using the new The Girl's Paperie Paper Girl papers.  She made the flowers using a tutorial from THIS BLOG.  It's using a Japanese paper folding technique and a bit of hot glue.

Here's a closeup of the little flowers to see them a bit better.  Now that I know how to make them (and they're insanely easy!) I can see little flower buckets all over my house.  I do NOT have a green thumb...actually I kill almost any plant I ever receive...and these are a perfect way to add some flowers to my house! SEI Smarty for boys

2YearsSamHappy Tuesday everyone!  Today I have a layout created by one of the DT members here at the store.  Samantha is on the DT as well as teaches some of our card classes for me.

This layout she created using some of the very fun SEI Smarty products.  It maybe isn't a *new* product, but it is great for boys!

If you notice along the top and left edge of the layout, she used the Fiskars Upper Crest border punch too.

And last, do you see the big honkin' brad on the bottom right corner?  That is one of the cool brads made with the Imaginisce i-Top bradmaker tool

Another use for your Paper Crafting Supplies!

Hello everyone!  :)  I'm so sorry I've been so long in posting to the blog.  I don't have any excuse other than being busy with the online and B&M store.  I haven't had much time to scrap or make cards myself other than things for classes, but I ran around the store and took pictures of a BUNCH of things that the B&M store Design team and I have done, and are hanging around the store.  So if there's something you've seen at the B&M store and want to know what products we've used...I'll post the recipes here.

If you haven't ever been to our B&M store...well, this will give you a bit of a glimpse of the projects that you'll see around *wink*

So...do you see this really COOL looking model here?  This is a project that our local High School TSA (Technology Student Association) prepared for their state contests this spring.  This is a model of our new retirement facility that was finished not too long ago.  They came here to the store for papers, cork paper, and even used pop dots to keep the tables and furniture standing up!RVTSAModel2

Check out the little "wallpaper border" that they used with some striped paper found here at the store.  Or the cool little round table.  They used round pop dots to keep it standing nice and tall.  If you can imagine, this little model was about 12x15" and maybe 1-2" tall.  Everything was in scale to the actual building.

RVTSAModel3 Here is the lunchroom with all it's tables, and the conference room.  You can also see the little bedrooms with the bathrooms, bed and dresser.

They also created their little laundry room with cork "floor".

The students did such a great job on the model, that they won 1st place at state!!  Congratulations Sara, Jana, Brooke & Brooke!
