Monday Manufacturer Highlight - Woodware USA

Get Well Today's card was made by Lisa. When I found out Woodware USA was going to be on of October's Featured Manufacturers, I immediately thought of this card. That little pill bottle from Woodware's Take it EZ set is adorable. I am in awe of Lisa's ability to color with Copics, and even though I can't color quite that well, I know I could make some really great cards with that image. And, just in case your wondering, that beautiful paper is Pink Paislee 365 Degrees paper.

Remember, this is you last week to get 25% off of Woodware's Great stamps and all things Studio Calico!

Friday Fun - Die-namics

Today I want to show you a fun product from My Favorite Things called Die-namics. P9040173 AWDML carries 14 different Die-namics dies. Lisa used the Jumbo Ric Rac die to create the card above. She cut both paper and fabric with the die for this pretty layered look.  Boquet There's a rolled flower die so you can create roses like the ones pictured above.

Finally, here are 2 more dies that I don't have yet, but I'm sure I'll be picking up very soon on one of my many trips to AWDML!64e8f48edd1afadd1250790ddb6de61e.image.175x160

You can find all 14 dies from Die-namics in the store by clicking here. Wishing you a very crafty weekend!

Friday Fun - Alphabet Soup

Have you seen Alphabet Soup by My Mind's Eye? One of my vary favorite things about My Mind's Eye is that they often come out with 2 versions of the same line; one boy and one girl. For someone who scraps 2 boys and no girls, I really appreciate this. I love pink sparkly stuff as much as the next person, but I often can't use it. MME offers both an Alphabet Soup Boy line and an Alphabet Soup Girl line. Both lines are fantastic mixes of colors and patterns. Don't just take my word for it check out these cards by Christy and Layout by Samantha:

Monday Manufacturer Highlight - Woodware USA

Best Teacher In case you don't already know, one of October's featured manufacturers is Woodware USA. Here's a really simple card I made using Woodware's School Tots. I stamped a single apple repeatedly in brown on kraft card stock. Then, I  chose random apples and colored them in with Copic markers. Adding color to just a few images in the background adds some interest and saves a lot of time on coloring.

Supply List:

Paper: Crate Paper School Spirit (Ruler, Pep Rally, Chalk Board)
Stamp: Woodware School Tots
Accessories: Pleated Ribbon By the Yard (Brown), Crate Paper School Spirit Phrases Stickers
Tools: Fiskars Apron Lace Punch, Fiskars Scalloped Sentiments
Markers: Copic (YG03, R29, E29)

Sympathy Card with KI Memories Pet Shoppe papers

MySympathyI hate making sympathy cards.  Do you feel that way too?  I mean, I hate that I need sympathy cards from time to time.  I have been very fortunate so far, that I haven't lost anyone very close to me yet.

{personal part of today's blog post}  On Friday, I found out through Facebook that one of my favorite faces from my childhood church had passed away.  I knew he was battling cancer for a while now, but my daughter talked about Kenny after meeting him at Bible School 2 weeks ago.  He was a HERO for the week.  They couldn't have picked out a better man to play a Biblical hero.

I don't think there is one memory I have involving my childhood church that doesn't have Kenny in.  Vacation Bible Schools, Sunday School picnics, RCYF outings, and just seeing him in church every Sunday morning.  Even after being gone from Carmel Church for almost 20 years, when we come back, he still greeted us with a smile, a handshake or a hug and remembered me by my first name.

My sympathies go out to the Sandbulte family this morning.  In my husband's words when I told him the news, "There's no doubt where that man is today!"  Praise the Lord that Kenny will spend eternity praising his Lord and singing with the choir of angels!  We'll miss you here Kenny, but we'll see you soon! {personal part of today's blog post end

Today's card is one I completed a long while ago, and posted some of it's companion cards.  This is one of the cards in a group of 10 that I made using a few pieces of cardstock, and 2 pieces of patterned papers.  Along with a few embellishments, and I had a bunch of pretty cards.

Jenni Bowlin Studios Mini Diecut Labels papers
Provo Craft felt flowers
Pebbles Candy Dots
