Did you know - get a jump start on Christmas

I know Thanksgiving is the next holiday on the list, and believe me I won't skip over that celebration (I adhere very strictly to my rule that Christmas decorations do not get put up until the day after Thanksgiving), but if you're in the Northwest Iowa area you can get a jump start on your Christmas Cards starting this weekend. There are 2 great classes coming up. Here's a bit about both of them:

Get ready for Christmas with this great class from Samantha. Build you stash of Christmas cards by making 20 cards (5 each of 4 different designs) in one class. All you need is your own adhesive. Everything will be cut and waiting for you to stamp and assemble.
Cost: $25
November 13 from 10:15 am - 1 pm

 

 

 

Betsy is joining us for a class helping you with your holiday card making! You will create 4 cards with Betsy's signature style, and My Mind's Eye Holly Jolly Paper. You will not want to miss the chance to make these gorgeous cards!
Cost: $20

November 15, 6 - 8 pm

Did you know we've got classes?

 Last week I spent a lot of time updating AWDML's Google calendar and  Facebook Page with all the great classes we have coming up. Let me tell you, the calendar is packed with some amazing classes taught by some really talented ladies. The picture on the left is just a taste of what's going on. We've got Cricut, Card, Copic,and Mini Album Classes, so there's something for everyone. An ALL-NEW Cricut 101 Class

We have been offering Cricut 101 classes here at the store, since we opened up our physical storefront in October 2008.  Betsy has re-designed the class for 2010 to be a bit more interactive, and just LOOK at the gorgeous layout & cards you'll make during class!!

First up is the Sweet Girl layout & card set.  You can choose to make the layout or cards during class (depending on what paper craft you enjoy more) and follow along with Betsy as she describes all the cool features of your Cricut machine.  At the end of class, you'll have cut all of the parts you need to create these projects!!

Next up is the Great Boy version.  Using the same cartridges and just a few different cuts, you could make an awesome layout to feature a special guy in your life.  OR choose to make the cards and go home with the instructions for the layout.

Heads up on October classes!!

We are starting to book our October classes at the store!  Here is a sample of the Cricut Design Studio Family wordbook album that you will learn how to make during the Design Studio Class.  We will be holding this class at 6PM on October 7.

We are also teaching a new class with the Cricut.  It's all on the cool "different" stuff you can cut with your Cricut.  Things including fabrics, stamps materials, magnetic materials and more!!  Look for a picture of the project coming soon!

Cricut classes at the store!

For those of you who are close enough to the store (northwest Iowa, southeast South Dakota, southwest Minnesota, or northeast Nebraska) and you got a Cricut for Christmas...you should check out our Cricut class here at the store!

Betsy Veldman is going to teach the class showing the ins and outs of the machine, how to use those fancy feature keys on your Expression, and what all those "extra" buttons on the cartridges do.

Betsy is on Provo Craft's design team and works with her Cricut on a lot of her projects.  She'll be teaching us how to use our machine to make this GORGEOUS card using the Wild Card cartridge, making both the card AND envelope!

She'll also show us how to cut and apply vinyl onto this really cool 12x12 Ceramic tile.

If you're interested in our Cricut class, please call the store at 712-476-3443, as soon as you can, to reserve your spot for the class.  We've already filled 2 classes and added a third on Thursday, February 5 from 6pm - 8pm.  You'll need to stop by the store to pre-pay for the class, to guarantee your spot though, because space is very limited!
