Paper with Texture

Snow Fun Well, in honor of seeing snow for the first time this season, I thought I'd show you all this layout. It uses a great new line out from Pebbles Inc called New Arrival. It comes in 2 versions, a girlier pink and brown and a more boyish blue and brown. What makes this line stand out from the rest is that it has some serious texture to it. Depending on the paper, the lines or the polka dots are embossed. You won't want to miss out on these fun papers!

Paper: Pebbles New Arrival
Accessories: American Crafts Thickers (Giggles)
Tools: We Are R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper, Bazzill In Stitch’z template, EK Success Edger Punch Bracket

In Store - Monster Stew

It's almost Halloween! This year I'll be heading out with a Buzz Lightyear and a little Green Alien (can you tell Toy Story is popular at our house?). Instead of showing you my Halloween layout for this year, I thought I'd share a fun way to use leftover Halloween paper. Monster of a Mess Jillibean Soup's Monster Stew is a bright, fun, not so scary Halloween line. I, however, have little monsters running around my house all the time, not just at Halloween. With that in mind, instead of scrapping a Halloween photo, I scrapped a photo of my youngest eating cake on his 1st Birthday. This monster paper was perfect to capture his Monster of a Mess. If you make anything not Halloween from your Halloween paper scraps I'd love to see it. Link it up in the comments and share your creativity with us!

Supply List:

Paper: Jillibean Soup Monster Stew (Pointy Teeth, 2 Tbsp Slime)
Accessories: Tim Holtz Basic Swirls Grungeboard, Ribbon by the Yard, Pink Paislee Artisan Tape (teal), American Craft Thickers, Basic Grey Micro Mono Stickers (Green at Heart), Martha Stewart Edge Punch Loop
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint)Paint: Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber (Sunshine Yellow, Purple Twilight, Pearl)

Friday Fun - Alphabet Soup

Have you seen Alphabet Soup by My Mind's Eye? One of my vary favorite things about My Mind's Eye is that they often come out with 2 versions of the same line; one boy and one girl. For someone who scraps 2 boys and no girls, I really appreciate this. I love pink sparkly stuff as much as the next person, but I often can't use it. MME offers both an Alphabet Soup Boy line and an Alphabet Soup Girl line. Both lines are fantastic mixes of colors and patterns. Don't just take my word for it check out these cards by Christy and Layout by Samantha:

In Store - Pet Supplies

P9090015 I love animals. I've always had pets, from hamsters to dogs, you name it I've probably owned it. However, I often forget to included these important members of my family in my layouts. That's why I love, love, love this page by Lisa. It's a beautiful pet page, that's not just about Lisa's dog, but the bond between her daughter and her dog.

Now, if you're like me and you're thinking you've got to stock up on some new pet paper crafting supplies (any excuse to buy more paper, right?), I have a few suggestions. First is the line Lisa used in her layout, Pebbles Inc Cats and Dogs. My second suggestion is Basic Grey's Max and & Whiskers. Finally, if you're a Bo Bunny Fan you should check out either of their 2 pet lines Pet Shop or Posh Pets. Whether you're a dog lover, a cat lover, or something in between you're sure to find some fun pet supplies!

Did You Know - Rub-ons

Occasionally, I see something that makes me wish I had a girl to scrap about. This amazing page by Amy is one of those things. P9040184
Now, I love just about everything about this layout from the yellow and kraft color scheme to the staggered photos, to the Jenni Bowlin Butterfly Banner Stickers, but the thing that really caught my eye was that big yellow butterfly. I actually had to touch it. Then I had to ask all about it. It's a rub-on (which I hear goes on like butter, because nobody likes a rub-on that doesn't rub on well). It's a newer product to the store. It's made by Jenni Bowlin, and it comes in yellow, red, silver, and gold. If you want one of your own you can click here to check them out in the store. Hmm...now to figure out what to scrap so I can use one...

Fall's in store!

Fall is in the air at A Walk Down Memory Lane, so today I have some fall eye candy to share. Check it out:

                                          Fall Blocks

These fall blocks by Lisa are made with Imaginice's Apple Cider line. If Lisa can't find a good home for them, I'll volunteer!

 SeptemberOctober 2010

Bella Blvd's One Fall Day collection just seems to encompass everything fall to me; trees, leaves, pumpkins, and blue skies.  I was finally inspired to create some layouts of my first fall with a baby (way back in 2006)!

ChristySaegerChallenge#9

This final fall inspiration comes to you from Christy. She uses American Crafts and Jenni Bowlin papers to create a sweet and crisp fall feel. Happy fall!

What's In Store?

One Day old I'm going to be honest with you, I shop at AWDML a lot. I can't seem to walk into the store without leaving with more than I intended to.  With all that shopping, you'd think the only things that are new to me would be the things that have come in since the last time I shopped. I found out Saturday, however, that is definitely not the case.  I went in to the store to photograph some projects to share with you all on the blog, and when I picked up this layout, I thought, "wow I love those alphas," so I took the layout to Lisa (who just happens to be the creator) to ask about them. Lo and behold I have walked past them dozens of times without giving them a second look.

One Day Old Detail

They are from Making Memories' Pitter Patter and come in the lovely pink you see here or blue. Of course, I will need them in blue, because, as I'm sure you know, you can never have too many cute alphas!
