July card club

July09CardKitHi This is one of the cards that I've made using the goodies inside July's Card Kit called

The card kit this month, contains some fun goodies!  The papers are from Jillibean Soup.  There are embellishments from Pebbles, Inc, Daisy Bucket Designs, Chatterbox, and We R Memory Keepers.

This card I started out with a cardstock piece in 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 size.  Next was the striped pattern paper cut 1/2 inch smaller at 5 x 3 3/4.  I used a strip of the polka dot paper, and cut my own scallops by following the polka dots from the paper.  I used my Tim Holtz Ink Blending tool on all of the papers to give it a bit of a distressed look.

Next I grabbed my sewing machine and stitched around the card, and across the top of the other border piece.  I cut the red cardstock into a circle and the same with the kraft using my EK Circle Scissors Plus.

Last, I used the felt flowers from the kit, and used a Chatterbox wooden brad for the middle of the center.  I also tucked in a Daisy Bucket felt heart behind the flower.  The alpha stickers are some American Crafts vinyl Thicker stickers from my stash.
