Sympathy Card with KI Memories Pet Shoppe papers
I hate making sympathy cards. Do you feel that way too? I mean, I hate that I need sympathy cards from time to time. I have been very fortunate so far, that I haven't lost anyone very close to me yet.
{personal part of today's blog post} On Friday, I found out through Facebook that one of my favorite faces from my childhood church had passed away. I knew he was battling cancer for a while now, but my daughter talked about Kenny after meeting him at Bible School 2 weeks ago. He was a HERO for the week. They couldn't have picked out a better man to play a Biblical hero.
I don't think there is one memory I have involving my childhood church that doesn't have Kenny in. Vacation Bible Schools, Sunday School picnics, RCYF outings, and just seeing him in church every Sunday morning. Even after being gone from Carmel Church for almost 20 years, when we come back, he still greeted us with a smile, a handshake or a hug and remembered me by my first name.
My sympathies go out to the Sandbulte family this morning. In my husband's words when I told him the news, "There's no doubt where that man is today!" Praise the Lord that Kenny will spend eternity praising his Lord and singing with the choir of angels! We'll miss you here Kenny, but we'll see you soon! {personal part of today's blog post end}
Today's card is one I completed a long while ago, and posted some of it's companion cards. This is one of the cards in a group of 10 that I made using a few pieces of cardstock, and 2 pieces of patterned papers. Along with a few embellishments, and I had a bunch of pretty cards.
Today's card recipe:
KI Memories Pet Shoppe pattern papers
Bazzill Swiss Dot cardstock
Jenni Bowlin Studios Mini Diecut Labels papers
Provo Craft felt flowers
Pebbles Candy Dots
Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch
Heidi Grace stamp
Grossgrain Ribbon
