A Little Friday Sunshine

This card just makes me smile. It's so bright and cheerful. I love how Lisa used her amazing Copic coloring skills to color in this sweet little girl from Magnolia. Pairing her with Sweet Summertime from Echo Park just puts it over the top.  I'm a bit of a punch-a-holic, so I also have to mention that the fun punched border is Fiskars' Effervescence border punch. Have a great weekend!

Have you seen the gallery?!?

Seasons_Greetings_Card A Walk Down Memory Lane has a great on-line gallery where you can share your crafty creations and see what the amazing design team is creating. I just popped over to the gallery and am in awe of all the creative mojo that I'm seeing right now. I'm so inspired to create. Click here to check it out. While you're there, check out the message board too. You'll get a peak into what's going on at the store, check out tutorials, chat with other members, and ask any scrappy questions you may have. Today's card was created by Design Team Member Kim and is just a little taste of what you'll find if you head on over to the gallery!

p.s. That paper is from Basic Grey's Jovial Collection.

Monday Manufacturer Highlight Inkadinkado

PB050095 I love Inkadinkado stamps, so I was super excited when I found out they would be one of this month's featured manufacturers. If you're starting to think about Christmas cards, check out Inkadinkado's ridiculously cute Christmas stamps.

Alright, on to the card for today. It's a sweet and sparkly way to let someone know you're thinking of them. Making the sparkly birds is easy; just stamp, color, cut out, cover in glue and sprinkled with fine glitter.

Did you know - get a jump start on Christmas

I know Thanksgiving is the next holiday on the list, and believe me I won't skip over that celebration (I adhere very strictly to my rule that Christmas decorations do not get put up until the day after Thanksgiving), but if you're in the Northwest Iowa area you can get a jump start on your Christmas Cards starting this weekend. There are 2 great classes coming up. Here's a bit about both of them:

PA290034 Get ready for Christmas with this great class from Samantha. Build you stash of Christmas cards by making 20 cards (5 each of 4 different designs) in one class. All you need is your own adhesive. Everything will be cut and waiting for you to stamp and assemble.
Cost: $25
November 13 from 10:15 am - 1 pm

Betsy V Christmas Card Class Betsy is joining us for a class helping you with your holiday card making! You will create 4 cards with Betsy's signature style, and My Mind's Eye Holly Jolly Paper. You will not want to miss the chance to make these gorgeous cards!
Cost: $20

P9040167 I chose today's card to share with you because it highlights 2 of my favorite trends.

Trend 1: Felt. What I love about this trend are the possibilities. It comes un-cut in sheets so you can make your own accessories (like those super cute buttons on the card). You can buy it pre-cut into shapes. You can get it  layered into coordinating accent pieces. So fun and so versatile! Don't you just want to reach out and touch it?

Trend 2: Stick Pins. My biggest problem with this trend is making sure I don't stick myself while I'm working with them! Lisa avoids that problem by nestling them neatly under her felt flower. Lisa chose pretty pearl stick pins, but you can also find crystal pins from Jillibean Soup , Jenni Bowlin Studios mixes pearls and crystals together, and there are even fun leaf pins from Maya Road.

Hope you all have a very trendy Thursday!

In Store - Coredinations

I know I've sung the praises of Core'dinations card stock before, but I've got some great projects today that help show off this great paper. In case you're not familiar with Core'dinations, it is card stock that has a color core so you can rip, sand, and tear it to reveal the core color. A Walk Down Memory Lane carries it in single sheets, and in packs. There are even packs that have texture embossed on them, so all you have to do is sand. Here are a few great ideas for Core'dinations.

First up is a fun layout by Lisa. She embossed and sanded Core'dinations to create the background for this layout. P9040113
I love the butterfly background on this next layout. It comes pre-embossed from Core'dinations and Jenni Bowlin Studios. All Amy had to do was sand to reveal the core color. P9190113

Finally, I haven't forgotten the card makers of the world. Here's a little black, white, and red card. Again, I embossed my Core'dinations card stock and sanded it to make the red pop. Coredinations Card

I hope this gets your Core'dinations creativity rolling.
