Monday Manufacturer Highlight - Woodware USA

Best Teacher In case you don't already know, one of October's featured manufacturers is Woodware USA. Here's a really simple card I made using Woodware's School Tots. I stamped a single apple repeatedly in brown on kraft card stock. Then, I  chose random apples and colored them in with Copic markers. Adding color to just a few images in the background adds some interest and saves a lot of time on coloring.

Supply List:

Paper: Crate Paper School Spirit (Ruler, Pep Rally, Chalk Board)
Stamp: Woodware School Tots
Accessories: Pleated Ribbon By the Yard (Brown), Crate Paper School Spirit Phrases Stickers
Tools: Fiskars Apron Lace Punch, Fiskars Scalloped Sentiments
Markers: Copic (YG03, R29, E29)

You Rocket!

YouRocketCard Do you ever run short of boy cards?  I have so much fun making the girly cards, that I never have enough boy ones laying around.

So...I was excited to ink up Mr. Changito monkey again for this cute boy card.  This is made using the papers and embellishments from the January Vintage Home kit.

First, I cut my pieces for the card for a color-blocked effect.  I used my Tim Holtz Design Ruler along the edge of the blue piece for the stitched holes.  I used the black circle bling from the kit and cut into a 1/2 circle and added it to the corner of the card.

I colored in Changito the monkey using my Copic markers and cut him out of theYouRocketCopics white cardstock.  I mounted it on the yellow polka dot papers, which I cut a bit smaller than the mat.  I added the Pebbles Candy Dots from the kit to the edge of the mat.

Here are the Copics I used for this card.  ENJOY!

Birthdays are Good for you!

BirthdayTurtleCard I just love these Inkadinkado mini stamps.  They are just my style!  Cute little characters and witty sayings.

This is another card made with the January Vintage Home kit.  The smaller piece of rust cardstock was run through my Cuttlebug with the Paisley embossing template.  I colored in my cute little turtle with my Copic markers, and inked the edges of all of my pieces.

To finish it off, I added 2 Imaginisce brads found in the kit.

Here are the Copics I used for my turtle.  ENJOY!BirthdayTurtleCopic

Thanks a Million!

ThanksaMillionPirateCard Check out my new Changito monkey stamp!  :)  Isn't he just too cute?

I got these new Stampendous stamps in the store the other day and this little pirate was just screaming to be used!

I inked him up with my Memento Tuxedo black inkpad and then inked another one on my Eclipse tape, and cut him out of the tape.  For those of you who have masked your stamps before using Post-It Notes, you're gonna LOVE this new tape!  It is semi-sticky like a post-it, but the whole roll is sticky, not just a portion of the paper!

Then, I stamped the palm tree island.  Next, i grabbed my Copic markers and started coloring away.  I knew I wanted to use the papers from the January kit, so I colored his bandana to match the papers.  When I was done coloring, I punched the corners out with a Stampin Up punch that is the opposite of a corner rounder.  I think it's called the ticket punch?  I mounted it on the cardstock ThanksaMillionPirateCopics and added it to my card base.  Then, I grabbed some Kaiser bling and gave him a pile of "money" laying on the beach, as well as adding one in each of the corners of the stamped image.  The sentiment is from the Changito set as well.

Here are the Copics I used for this card.
