CHA Day 1 Pictures - Misc. goodies

Bobunnyacrylicalbums_3 Bo Bunny introduced some new paper lines, but we need to get some better pictures.  This is one I just couldn't not show you!  :)

New acrylic albums with various shapes in each book.  This one is the floral one with some cool flowers and even a flowerpot shape in the back.

Chatterboxcupcakes_2 Check out these paper cupcakes from the Chatterbox booth.  They look almost good enough to eat don't they?  Fun glitter toppings, swirls, curls of paper, just beautiful.  Their new paper line is just gorgeous too!  We'll get better pictures soon!

Kimemoriespolyoverlays_2 How about these BEAUTIFUL NEW plastic OVERLAYS from KI Memories!!  They are to DIE for!!  So cool.  Made from acid-free polypropelene they are stiffer than a transparency but not as thick as acrylics used in albums, etc.  These are definitely in my top list of things NOT to miss!

KI is also coming out with a new school line and holiday line that are just so much fun!  But, what else do we expect from KI?  :D

Day 1 CHA Pictures - Basic Grey

Basicgreyambrosiaforblog Basic Grey.  Need I say more??  They have 5 new lines this show, along with new rubons, new clear stamps, and some AWESOME new chipboard albums available in "Milk Chocolate" and "Dark Chocolate".

The line to the left is called Ambrosia.  Beautiful warm oranges, greys, yellows, red and a touch of black and white.  They were told by customers to bring back the Black Tie collection, so they did one better!  Now we get some beautiful, updated black and white papers along with some truly gorgeous colors.  The papers are Basicgreyevaforblog double-sided, there is matching brads, glazed brads, buttons, chip stickers, alphabets...YUMM!

Next up is the Eva line.  Another gorgeous line by Basic Grey.  Basic Grey says "Eva is reminiscent of the French Court - a mix of the exotic and the dignified, the gracious and the gallant.  Let Eva add a posh touch to your next project."  I couldn't say it better myself!

They have a fun new retro/boy/natural line called Offbeat.  this is a fun line but I didn't get good pictures of it, so that will have to wait.

Granola is "all  natural with organic ingredients" using lots of greys, a little bit of tan and a little bit of blue.  This is a great guy collection with a few flowers, but nothing too feminine.

BasicgreyminichipalbumsUrban Prarie is another flowery and bright kit with a hot pink, yellow, bluebird and bright green.  They say it's "city-chic with a country flair".  Yup, totally agree!  We'll get better pictures of these 3 lines tomorrow and try again!

I want to show you a picture of their new chipboard albums though!  These are soooo very cool!  7 new chipboard album shapes in a black or brown finish.

Friday Finds

Hospitalstayforblog Today's Fabulous Finds highlights a few products you may not know we carry!  :)

This layout shows off a few different goodies, so, let's get started taking a stroll down the aisles of the store at A Walk Down Memory Lane.

First, I started with a layer of white Bazzill cardstock.  We carry a number of colors of cardstock available by the sheet, but we also carry them in multipacks as well.  Next, I took a piece of Cherry Arte Girl Power paper and tore it.  I used both pieces as the corners of my layout.  I layered afew other pieces of the Cherry Art papers on the layout under the journal block and I scalloped the orange with my EK Success corner rounder.    I used a few Doodlebug Jewels on the flowers, etc on the left hand border of the paper.  Next I used a rubon and a Heidi Swapp Crown journaling spot in the bottom of the left hand page.  The last thing on the left page is the journaling block.  I used my Cricut and first used the Cricut Inks to "draw" the title with my Cricut.  Then I replaced the inks with my blade, and it cut out the letters leaving a nice little colored line around my letters.   On the right page, I used an 8x10 picture.  I used a Fancy Pants felt bracket and adhered the felt to the picture with my Zig 2 Way glue and held it until it dried.  Then, I trimmed the photo to the same shape as the outside of the bracket.

Also, don't forget we've started $3 shipping for the weekend today!  Any order under $75 will ship for $3!!  With gas being so expensive, you can't hardly DRIVE to your local scrapbook store for that!

I hope you have a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend.  I will not be posting on Monday.  See you on Tuesday!

Fabulous Friday Finds

Butterfly_card Before strolling down the aisles of the store, I thought I'd show you a quick card that I made using some of the leftovers from yesterday's Kittens layout.  I actually have 2 cards that a are finished like this, and I still have a bit more of the 2 pattern paper left for another couple of cards!

I like making my cards after I finish a layout, because I have all of my tools and embellishments sitting out on my table, AND I have stuff I know already coordinates together!  Plus, who can bear to throw away that pretty paper?  Or, how many of us save those scraps for a future layout, only to never dig back through those scraps because, let's face it...we have so many full NEW sheets of pretty paper to play with!!

This card uses the same Bazzill cardstock, Prima Harmony and Pink Paislee Office Lingo papers from yesterday.  I added an O'Scrap feltAcleather flower and used a few more chipboard buttons from Making Memories to finish it off.   I left this one blank to keep it as a multi-purpose card.  I can quick add a sentiment I need when I need a quick card.

Today, for our FABULOUS Friday Finds, we'll be taking a stroll down the album aisle.  You will notice there aren't a terrible lot of albums Acclothin the store...know why?  Because there are so many albums to choose from, along with their coordinating page protectors, that I just can't carry them all.  So....I choose a few small gift-sized albums, or  some small acrylic albums for mini albums for you.  HOWEVER....and this is the GREAT part...I can special order just about any album out there in any color you want. Acmod  For Instance...American Crafts albums are 20% off this month, and I am offering that on any special-order as well.  If you love American Crafts albums, you can choose your size, finish, and color of American Crafts albums you need, and I'll get them ordered for you!!  This sale is through May 29 so you'll want to get your order in ASAP!

You can click on the American Crafts albums link above to be taken directly to the American Crafts album section.  There you can find all of the various sizes and colors available to choose from!

Another Friday...more Fabulous Finds!

Cloud98x325albuminbox I went strolling through the "aisles" at the store at A Walk Down Memory Lane the other day, and noticed all kinds of alterable things in the store that I had kind of forgotten about!  Home Decor and mini albums are very popular right now, and are a GREAT way to use up leftover papers and embellishments after you're done with a layout!  I mean, they're already pulled from your stash, you know they already coordinate, and you maybe have a few photos leftover, so why not try an altered gift, mini album, or home decor project!

Above on the left is one of the Cloud 9 Board Books in a box.  They are Mmchipboardalphabetavailable in 3 different sizes and 3 colors.  6x6, 7x5 and 8x3.25 are the sizes, and they're available in white,  kraft, and black.  The box comes with a 14 page board book tucked inside, and ready to finish!

For a beautiful home decor project, try one of the 8" chipboard letters from Making Memories.  This is a great do-it-yourself project Zsiagescrapodexthat would look great in any room, and because the letters are available individually, you can spell any word you want!  Paint them, cover them with pattern paper, use some pretty ribbons and flowers, and you've got yourself a one of a kind home decor item.

Another cool project is the Zsiage Scrap-o-dex.  It looks like a Rolodex, but is chipboard and larger, and is a very cool project for a desk to keep all of those photos you love close to you!  We have both the original Scrap-o-dex as well as refill pages, if you need more.

Before I check out of here for the weekend, I wanted to let everyone know of the crop we are holding over at the message board at The Scrapbook Site!  On Wednesday, April 16 we are having a little "Thank Goodness Taxes are Done!" party.  We have a chat scheduled with one of the design team members from Hambly Overlays, to help us find new uses for those gorgeous overlays.  We also have online classes, challenges, games and contests scheduled throughout the day.  Even if you work during the day, you can still play with us at night, or we'll leave the challenges open so you can participate the following weekend if that works for you.

You will need to register at the message board before Wednesday so we can approve your account, and then you can join in the fun!  Hope to see you there!
