well..I'm not sure about all of you, but I know for our family I am BEYOND BUSY. and it's crazy in my house. I've been struggling just finding time to scrap and have a few minutes to create. I hate it when I get like this. I mean, I love having a full life, watching my kids grow and have fun..but every once in a while I start to go crazy. I NEED A MINUTE TO MYSELF. I'm so READY for summer to start and for this crazy spring to be over!!! so what do we do? what do busy mom's or women in general do when we need a break? how do we unwind and get back to "ourselves"? how do we balance our obligations to our home, family and work, with an obligation to ourself? sometimes I stay up late at night to watch a few minutes of television uninterrupted (well..if I'm honest, more that sometimes.) I feel like I'm constantly watching the clock for the "next thing I have to do". soo...my question is. what do you do to unwind or relax? even better...make a list of what you do and use it for a BOM of me page. I plan on doing this hopefully tomorrow.
here's my list of what i do when I get overwhelmed or need a time out.
- watch DVR'd shows late at night (Trauma life in the ER, DR. G medical examiner, Code Blue, Oprah)
- listen to music loudly while I scrap or edit photos
- take a nap
- laundry (I know, it's crazy. but for me it works)
- take a shower at night instead of in the morning. a few minutes of peace is nice sometimes
So..post your list. use it for journaling on a BOM page. take a second to really thing about what you do. you might be surprised!
