Today I'm going to spotlight one of my favorite manufacturers--Cosmo Cricket! Their papers and embellishments are so versatile and the colors and designs they come up with are just gorgeous.
Here are a few projects I have made using Cosmo Cricket:

Ok...well, maybe they won't actually fly, but they will look like they can!! I used a Prima Obsession Flower, but any 5 petal flower will work.
I marked my flower to show where I was going to cut.
And, then, I cut on the lines:
Now you have your basic butterfly shape and you can attach it to your Card or Layout and decorate it with stickles, brads, ink, floss, or anything you would like to embellish it and make it pretty. I made this one pretty simple...
And I used it on a card (along with a sketch by Lucy Chesna and some Fancy Pants Delight Paper!):

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a great relaxing day.
If you are like me you have a huge scrapbook stash somewhere in your house! I tend to buy lots of things and then forget where I put them! This week I want to challenge you to dip into your stash and use some of that stuff up. One thing I have a lot of are stickers. So my challenge for you this week is to use some of the stickers you have stashed away.
I love stickers because you can alter them and embellish them in many ways. In my layout below I used some super cute Bobunny paper, stickers and bling. I used letter stickers for my title and by mixing alphas made it look more interesting. I used a flower sticker border around my photos and used foam adhesive to make the stickers pop. I also added a sticker border to the bottom of the page for interest.
You can also breath new life into the older stickers in your stash by adding glitter to them, layering them to make flowers and other embellishments, doodling on them, and distressing them.

It's Wednesday so you know what that means? That's right, another Wacky Wednesday sale! For today only all stamps in the A Walk Down Memory Lane store are 25% off.
If you have never stamped now is a great time to start. Here are some things you can do with stamps:
Create your own patterned paper by stamping on cardstock.
Stamp on buttons and brads using stazon ink (an ink you can use on any slick surface).
Stamp on your photos using stazon ink.
Create titles on layouts using letter stamps.
Stamp on chipboard shapes to give them a unique design.
Stamp on acrylic shapes using stazon ink to give them a unique design.
Cut out stamped images to create embellishments.
I stamped the sentiment on this card using the Hero Arts Elephants stamp set. The cute little guy is from the DCWV Green Stack. I cut the cupcake out of the Sassafras Lass Hog Heaven Journal stickers and then added a button for a cherry.

Todays Tip: Try running something CLEAR through your die cut machine with an embossing folder! A friend of mine showed me this and the effect is super cool! I used the Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles Embossing Folder and the clear packaging from some Bazzil In-Stitchz Templates to make this card (so I recycled, too!)! I also used a sketch by the lovely Lucy Chesna!

Have you noticed that {BRACKETS} are very "IN" these days? That's right! {BRACKETS} are some of the coolest things out there...they come in chipboard, Thickers, stickers, Stamps, and you can even cut them out on your die cutting machines. So, your challenge for this week is to use some {BRACKETS} on a layout!!
