The A Walk Down Memory Lane store is filled with lots of yummy new products and I know there is much that has been catching my eye there. I must admit I am a Cosmo Cricket girl through and through and that is where I have spent oodles of time browsing and shopping. I have yet to see a line from them I don't feel the need to have! I will admit though, when I saw the Material Girl line, I was pondering what would I do with it? I don't sew and my husband won't even let me look at the sewing machine half the time for fear I will break it... once again! LOL! Even with the odds stacked against me for doing some type of cute project with stitching, I still made the plunge and picked up some. I am so happy I did!
The Material Girl line is filled with fun and fresh colors perfect for Spring.... which I know we are ALL longing to get here. Check out these great flowers on this paper:
I love how the back of this paper is like a vintage ad from a catalog. And how about the cutie little girls and sewing tools/sentiments found on this one:
I think my favorite is this one with the tape measures on it:
It's perfect for cutting apart or using as a whole!! Still not totally convinced you should go for this line?? Well, let me leave you with a bit of inspiration of what I have done with it.
The Material Girl line is perfect for all those dress up moments you have captured of your little girl.... or in my case myself when I was in college! I loved cutting apart different elements and combining them. No dress up pictures, you say? I have nothing but boys in my house you challenge.... well how about some cards?
See how versatile this line can be? And the greatest thing to me is I can finally enjoy a slice of the sewing world without all the finger pricks and broken needles! I do hope you head on over to the store and grab yourself up some fabulous Material Girl papers and while you're there, don't forget to grab some of the new Tiny Type alphas from Cosmo too! There are a ton of them on each sheet...definitely a bargain! Plus they have great inspirational words for you to use too! If you need more inspiration for this line, I will be uploading a few more projects into the gallery to help get your Material Girl mojo started!
Happy Shoppin'! - Scarlett
