Hi Everyone!!! have you jumped on the banner train yet? I have and am really loving all the possibilities these offer for projects. Today I am specifically referring to the Maya Road chipboard banners and the mini acrylic banner stamps.
Here's what they look like:
What I enjoy about these are the flexibility to create your own custom banners to match whatever project you are working on. The chipboard pieces were screaming to me home decor. I had wanted to create a banner for our front door, but everything I looked at seemed so big and honestly just wouldn't fit. The Maya Road chipboard banner pieces are just the right size for creating welcome banners for your door or banners for your kids doors... something decorative for the wall but not overwhelming. They easily take ink and the colors came out rich and true to the color of ink. Another bonus is how easy they are to use to trace and get the perfect fit for patterned papers. When stacked, the look is delightful!
Here's the project I made for our front door:
I used some Cosmo Cricket from the Garden Variety mini deck to go along with our country living.
Now, if you don't like chunky funky on your pages.... that's where the great mini banner stamps come in!! I must say that these stamps are absolutely fabulous to work with!!! The take ink so easily and I have yet to screw up an image!! LOL! It usually takes me one or more practices to get an image to come out the way I would like, but I haven't had to do that with the Maya Road stamps at all! BONUS!! There are a variety of shapes and shaded stamps included in the set and the great thing is you can cut them apart to get a layered look! The banner stamps take easily to patterned papers as well as cardstock.
Here's a little sample I made to show you how nicely they come out and cut out apart to stack:
See how nicely the image stamps?? Just fabulous! So if you like banners, then I would highly recommend adding these delightful pieces by Maya Road to your stash!
Happy Scrappin'!! ~Scarlett
