Oh My Gosh --- the store is overflowing with new product and you know my favorite is from Basic Grey!
There is the new wedding classic, Cappella:
Hey there everyone, Stacy here. So I have been loving making flowers for my layouts lately. There are so many great, fun flowers you can make out of paper to spice up your cards and layouts.
One of my favorites right now is a flower you can make out of 8 hearts. You can use you punch, or your die cut machine. Here is a close up of the flowers I made for my layout.
~What you want to do is cut out 8 hearts for this flower. You will also need a circle punch for underneath to adhere your petals to.
~Next simply fold all 8 hearts in half so that you have a nice point at the bottom of the heart.
~Now you want to fold both edges of the heart back even with the crease from the first fold.(almost like you have folded the heart in thirds)
~Next unfold all of the hearts and place around the circle that you punched out. To give it demension stager the hearts and layer over one another. I used my Terrifically Tacky Tape so that my petals would not move around.
For this layout I used paper from Pink Paislee 365 line. I also used a boarder punch on the pattern paper for a different look on a couple of the strips of paper. Now for the center of the flower how about a little cork button also from Pink Paislee or simply place a button in the middle. For the word "hugs" I used letters from Jillibean Soup, and the little letters across the bottom are My Little Shoebox Mini Alphas.

Who doesn't love the pitter patter of little feet? Making Memories took that love and turned it into one amazingly adorable paper line! Pitter Patter is full of sweet little girl stuff in the Sophie line and adorable little boy stuff in the Oliver line!
This line is so much fun! Make sure you check out the store for all the fun embellishments and die-cut papers that coordinate!
In addition to the Making Memories Pitter Patter stuff, I used some fun Hambly, Jenni Bowlin, and the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher!

Happy Tuesday Everyone! I am here today to bring you a new way to make some gorgeous flowers using Ranger Claudine Hellmuth Sticky Back Canvas. Here is a picture of this wonderful product:
This comes in 12x12 sheets, as well as 8.5x11 sheets. So let's get started!
Step 1:
The first step for this project is going to be cutting your initial flower shapes. You can use a free form shape you create on your own, or you can do like I did and use your die cutting system and some flower shape dies to obtain the desired shape for your flower. I am using 4 different sizes for this flower.
Tip: Create a sandwich of patterned paper (I used Little Yellow Bicycle Clothesline), then Ranger Claudine Hellmuth Sticky Back Canvas, then patterned paper for best results in obtaining a clean cut. You will be using the patterned paper or cardstock if you choose in a later step.
Step 2:
Take your cut flowers and peel off the backing from the canvas and adhere the matching patterned paper to the back. You will do this for all the flowers you have cut.
Step 3:
Using Maya Mist spray the canvas side of the flower with the colors of your choice. You will do this for all the flowers you have cut.
Tip: At this point, I cut in on my petals to change the shape just a bit.
Step 4:
In this step you are going to layer up your flowers. Alternate them so one layer shows the canvas, the next your patterned paper. You can do all canvas showing as well, but I found the alternation to be pretty. Punch a hole in the middle of your flower using the Crop-A-Dile and then hold together with a brad.
Tip - To finish off the look of this flower, scrunch and manipulate the petals a bit to give them a bit more dimension and realistic feel.
There you have it! I love using the Ranger Claudine Hellmuth Sticky Back Canvas because it not only takes paints, mists, and anything else you put on it really well, but it also gives such yummy texture to your projects or in this case embellishment. There are some really cool scrapbooking companies out there that make some awesome stuff just for your home.
First up, 7Gypsies. Now these guys have some really awesome goodies.
One of my favorites is the 4x6 Photo Display Stand. I just love the vintage style of this piece and it makes it so simple and easy to add your pictures to your home decor.
This next piece is super cute! It's their Artist Printer Tray in White. It comes in black too but the white just screams to be added to my scrap room decor. The openings on this piece are the size of an Artist Trading Card.
And the newest item that's just been added to the store is their Vintage Black Reciept Holder. So cute and so many possibilities!
Fancy Pants is another company that has come out with home decor products.
Their line is called On Display and it's the coolest collection of frames in unique sizes.
They even have divided frames. The really unique thing about them is that instead of glass they have a flexible acrylic center that can be stitched through and decorated like paper.
And finally, Adorn It has the cutest Peak Magnet Board that just hit the store. It's in the shape of a cool curvy label and I just love it!

There are so many manufacturers these days that are starting to design sheets of patterned paper created out of strips of different pieces of their collections. Strip Sheets make creating layouts quick & easy! The store is full of great examples: Cosmo Cricket has some fabulous sheets:
But some of my favorites are from Little Yellow Bicycle! Generation Z is a fun one!
This sheet was the inspiration behind by Quick & Easy Challenge for you! I want to see you create a layout using strips of patterned paper - now this can be any patterned paper. Hi Everyone! Happy Thursday to you!!
I have been loving all things messy these days and decided it was about time I tried out the Ranger Distress Crackle Paint. I have found a new delight to add to ever growing mixed media collection. I chose to start off with the Rock Candy, which is clear, but there other great colors to choose from in the store such as Antique Linen, Black Soot, Frayed Burlap, and Peeled Paint. You can bet your bottom dollar these will be added to my collection soon!
Here is what the jar looks like:
It is very easy to use and comes with a built in brush attached to the lid for applying. It actually goes on a lot like diamond glaze. You can use a medium to thick coat and it dries fairly quickly. What's really cool is once you can see the crackles start to appear you can use your embossing heat tool to dry it the rest of the way. Total bonus, especially if you are like me and lack of bit of patience when it comes to dry time.
Here a couple of things I tried this out on:
This image is from the Cosmo Cricket Earth Love line. I love the additional vintage feel the crackle paint has added to it.

I used some Ranger Distress ink to further the aged feel.
And finally I tried it out on some chipboard:
I again used Ranger Distress ink to first color my chipboard, then to add some darker highlights onto it after the crackle paint was applied and dried.
This is a product I will be surely reaching for often because I can think of so many other uses for it. The tip I learned, especially with the Rock Candy clear, is to use some Ranger Distress ink to bring out the crackles even more.

One of my first purchases at A Walk Down Memory Lane was these adorable Jenni Bowlin Chipboard buttons. The damask, the aqua, they had me at hello! ;)
They came packaged in a clear plastic blister pack on this cute label shaped chipboard backing. I just couldn't bring myself to throw it away.
I covered it with Jenni Bowlin patterned paper and embellished it with more Jenni Bowlin goodies and now I've got the perfect cover for a minibook about my baby girl in the hospital on the day of her birth. I also bought another set of the buttons so I have a back cover, too. :D
So the next time you get an order from AWDML, make sure to give that packaging a second look before you toss it in the trash or the recycle bin, you may just have something worthy of your memories!

Ok....so i'm totally loving the new Pink Paislee over at the AWDML Store. One of the lines I will be working with is 365. Just look at all of the fun, yummy things you can play with from this line.
How about this 6x6 paper pad. There are 30 sheets of paper in this pad. Inside this packed pad of paper there are 10 different pattern papers and you get 3 of each one!!!!!
What about these fun cork buttons!!! These things rock! There are many different images on the buttons and even different sizes. Some are in the shape of circles, scallops, even a couple squares.
Don't forget the diecuts that go along with it.
Add umm.....hello, how about this ribbon!!!
Ok so now for my project. My baby sister is turning 30 this month so I made this birthday card for her. I just love it, I kindof don't want to give it to her!!!! :)
So obvioulsy I used Pink Paislee 365 paper line along with, American Crafts thickers, My Little Shoebox mini alphas - butter color, Zva pearls, Prima flower.

Happy Friday Everyone!! I'm here today to bring you a color challenge. We've been having anything but Spring weather in my neck of the woods, so I thought some Spring colors and inspiration were needed.

Did you know the store now has the newest lines of Sassafras Lass in collection kits?? I am in love with all the new lines! I used Cherry Delicious for this one. The tiny blue letters come with the kit and I also used a mix of American Crafts Thickers. A Walk Down Memory Lane Kits. That's right, kits! AWDML used to have a monthly kit club and Lisa, bless her heart, still has some of those kits left. She has also, bless her heart even more, marked them down to a ridiculously low price. How low? Um, yeah, $10.00! Squeal! When I found these babies, I bought three right away and have a few more on my wish list.
Here are a couple of my favorites and some of the products that are worth more than the $10.00 cost of the kit!

Here's a layout I made using the Gadgets & Gizmos kit.
Everything that I used on this page, including the pen, came in the kit. All I added was my adhesive. Ya gotta love that!
I really loved this kit! It came with eight sheets of patterned paper, a sheet of matching die cut letters and a sheet of journaling cards, five sheets of coordinating Bazzill cardstock, a full pack of Cosmo Cricket blackboard shapes, some matching buttons, a few Maya road journaling sheers, some gorgeous green ribbon, a black American Crafts Slick Writer, and the afore mentioned coordinating rub-ons and mist. These kits are put together expertly and everything goes together without it all being from the same line. I love that it takes out all the hard work for me and all I have to do is grab some pictures and start scrapping. Oh, and did I mention that they are ten bucks?!?!?! Just checking. ;)
