Hi Everyone! It's Scarlett coming to you today with some stitching inspiration. Happy Friday!
I just adore the way stitching looks on scrappy projects, but to be honest with you all I can't use the sewing machine. I know, I know......GASP! LOL! So lately I have been adding that special touch by using a bit of hand stitching. This technique works best when you poke all the holes you would like to use before you actually begin stitching. Once the holes are all set you can stitch with your floss easily.
On this first card I used hand stitching to create a border.
I love how the stitching adds extra texture to the card and frames the little scene I created.
On this next card I just added a bit of stitching to certain parts of the patterned papers I used.
Again, this stitching adds a bit of extra dimension and also some visual interest.
So the next time you are looking at your project and thinking to yourself it may need something else to make it complete, think hand stitching! It adds lovely texture, dimension, visual interest, and that special extra touch!
Happy Scrappin'!
