Friday Inspiration!

Do you ever have a time when you make a layout, card or other project and then you step back to look at it and think, "Ho-Hum."  You stare at it trying to decide what it needs to make it really POP!  Well, I have a super-simple suggestion for you that will POP your socks off!  Grab your white pen and add some doodling.  Doodling can range from very intricate swirls and patterns to simple dots and faux stitching. 

On this layout I had FUN adding tons of white dots around the edges of the papers and when I stepped back again, it looked to me like it had a lot more dimension and FUN to my page!

And, here's another one where the white circle of dots really completed the page and the white dots also helped to pop the journaling strips and heart out from the patterned paper background.

 
  So, grab your white pen and go to town on your pages!  You'll be amazed at the difference a little white dot can make!

Inspiration Friday!

Hello there, Kim here and I'm sharing some inspiration with you today!  I love the new feature, Inspiration Fridays, such a great start to the weekend!  Today my inspiration comes in the form of layouts created with one of my favorite lines, Quite Contrary, by My Mind's Eye! 

It is impossible to go wrong with My Mind's Eye, especially with all their matching embellishments, journaling cards and alphabets!  Everything coordinates and looks so great together - the ultimate in Mix & Match lines!

Hello Everyone

I just want to do a shout out to our DT. They have been amazing the last 6 months and will be continuing for another 6 months at AWDML. Our amazing DT Coordinator Lucy and the team has some great ideas for the next few months for this blog and facebook so stay tune.

We are so happy that our Newsletter Queen Nicole has accepted DT position here at AWDML. Nicole is a wonderful designer and we are so please that we will be see her designs grace the blog again.

Hi there!! I am Scarlett Salamone, proud wife to my best friend, Dean, and mama to my wonderful children, Malik, 13 and Whitney, 10. · I live in WI on a small hobby farm where my husband and I run a kennel business. During the day I can be found teaching and coaching teachers; during the night I am scrappin' my lil' heart out when not running the kiddos here, there, and everywhere. I adore all things paper and have since I was a little girl. I delight in adding details to my projects to give them just the right touch and I love dimension and layers. When I am not scrapping, which is rare...LOL!, I love to read, go for long walks, and just enjoy my family! I am elated to be a part of the A Walk Down Memory Lane team and the fabulous store Lisa has for us all to enjoy!

 Hi, All!!  I am so excited to be a part of the Design Team at “A Walk Down Memory Lane!”  Let me introduce myself…. My name is Nicole Wise.  I live in Southern Maine with my husband and two kids, who are six and seven years old.   They are the main reason I scrap.  I love to scrap the funny moments and how they grow and change.  During the day, I am a Middle School Music Teacher.  I just finished up my 12^th year of teaching and while I am super excited for summer, I love teaching!  The kids are super fun and keep me entertained every day.  I have been scrapping for about four years.  In the past two years, it has truly grown into an obsession that I am thinking about all the time.  I am always looking for fun ideas to use in my scrapping  and I enjoy surfing the internet to find interesting things. I am looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hello!  My name is Kim Holmes and I scrap my life away from the beautiful Pacific Northwest!  I have been married to my best friend for 23 years and we have 7 kids, yes 7, and one granddaughter.  They keep life interesting and provide me with constant photo opportunities – when I can slow them down enough to catch them!  Scrapbooking is what grounds me in my ever changing world and I love to escape to my scrap room.  I especially love to have a reason to “HAVE TO SCRAP”!  I love to create and my scrapbook style is constantly evolving.  I can honestly say that I am inspired by the products and colors – they “talk” to me!  The most amazing thing about this hobby is all the wonderful people I meet!  I truly consider all my scrappin’ friends – family, and life just wouldn’t be the same without them.  The connection is so intense between those of us that “get it”!  I love that most!

Hi!  I’m Erica Hettwer and live in Oregon with my hubby, Andrew, and our two children Mickey, 3 ½ and Audrey, 1 year.  I’m tall and talkative and totally in love with scrapbooking, photography and reading.  I love the color aqua, hanging out with my mom and garage sales.  I’m very excited to be on the A Walk Down Memory Lane Design Team for another term!

Hi, my name is Lucy Chesna and I live in Massachusettes. I am married to an wonderful man of 14 years and we have two awesome kids( Chris jr - 12 years old and Maggie- 9 years old).
