I'm thrilled to be issuing you your first challenge of the "Rockin' the Eighties" Crop here at A Walk Down Memory Lane. Over the next ten days, we will be giving you a new challenge every day --- you will have till March 31, 2010 to complete them for your chance to win a great prize! Make sure to check in here on Wednesdays for some great specials in the store too!
Okay, so here you go ---- The 1980's was a huge decade for me. I grew into an adult in that 10 year period. I got my driver's license, graduated from high school, started and finished college, got married and had my first child! Wow --- what a transformation those 10 years were for me. That was also the year of movies for me --- I saw almost every blockbuster hit those ten years had to offer.
Here are some of my favorites:
Back to the Future
Rain Man
Ordinary People
Top Gun
Escape from New York
Legend
Princess Bride
Neverending Story
Animal House
Risky Business
Karate Kid
Flashdance
The Breakfast Club
The Big Chill
For Your eyes only
Do you remember any of those? I can visualize myself in the theatres for most of them, especially Top Gun.
My Challenge for you today is to scrap a layout inspired by one of these movies. You can use it as the title of your page, as the subject of your journaling, or even as the theme of your page. Just get creative and share with us something related to one of these movies or movie titles! My example for you is inspired by "RISKY BUSINESS" --- not so much the theme of the movie but the title! Feeding the Seagulls at the pier is definitely RISKY!
I used some fabulous product from this month's featured manufacturer, Bella Blvd! You can find it in the store here and remember ---- all the Bella Blvd is 25% off this month! So --- go ahead and show me your stuff! Post your layout here using Mr. Linky by March 31st to qualify for the random drawing for a terrifc prize!
Kim :)
